DEMISE OF HAMID MOULANA FORMERLY OF COMMERCIAL COMPANY LTD DEARLY BELOVED SPOUSE OF SITHY KUREISHA MOULANA
Dear All – Yasmin & I were shocked & saddened to learn the demise of Hamid Moulana formerly of Commercial Company Ltd Colombo and Dearly Beloved Spouse of Sithy Kureisha Moulana of Walker Sons & Co Ltd.
I had the privilege of meeting Hamid during his visits to Walkers between 1968 & 1975 when I left the shores of Sri Lanka in May 1975 for Oman. Hamid left Sri Lanka in October 1975 for Saudi Arabia.
Although we had a disconnect for some time, with the advent of the Internet we got reconnected. Hamid was an Eloquent Journalist and was a regular contributor to various newspapers in the Gulf and the Island Newspaper.
I enjoyed reading his articles on various subject over the years and complimented him for some forthright thoughts he penned.
We pray that the Almighty will give the bereaved family the courage to face this moment of grief very courageously.
We shall remember him in our Prayers. May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
