Dinner Dance with Misty’s, No 1 Band in Sri Lanka – Sri Lan ka EX SERVICEMEN ASSOCIATION OF QUEENSLAND INC Present – Misty Dinner Dance 3 June 2023 (Brisbane event)

The Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemen Association of Queensland Inc. (www.slexservicesqld.org.au ) is holding its 08th Anniversary Dinner Dance with the reputed Band “Misty” flown down from Sri Lanka. This Dance will be at the Unidus Community Centre, 204 Sherbrooke Road, Willawong, Qld 4110 on Saturday 03rd of June 2023. Please note that this event is BYO, but no esky’s will be allowed into the hall for security reasons, cooler bags will be allowed. However, we are requesting the caterer to have ice and limited number of soft drinks for sale. A welcome non-alcoholic drink will be served at the entrance.
The Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemen Association of Queensland Inc. comprises several ex-services and police enthusiasts who have come together in an entirely honorary capacity, with the primary purpose of raising funds to buy essential School Supply packs to the underprivileged students in Sri Lanka. Presently we are sponsoring 4 students who have done extremely well in the Advanced Level (AL’s) examinations and recommended by the Commanders of the Navy and Air Force whose parents cannot afford to keep them in the University’s. The monthly stipend of Rs 8000.00 per student is sent via the Foundation of Goodness who monitors their progress.
