Later he was awarded a Life Membership for unbroken membership years and his strong support to the RCOBAA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Dr Channa Wijesinghe won the Rupasinghe scholarship at Royal College. He was the foundation professor in psychiatry in Colombo University. He later migrated to Australia and\u00a0was the Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Monash University and a board member of the Medical Board of Victoria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">His funeral will be on Saturday 24<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0September at 11.30 am at the Boyd Chapel, Springvale Cemetery.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Obituary notice &#8211; Dr Channa Wijesinghe Dear Royalist We have received the sad news of the passing away of Dr Channa Wijesinghe last Sunday the 18th\u00a0of September 2022.
