Of course, this may happen particularly in the case of senior citizens and perhaps not so much amongst the youngsters who could be thinking that a lot of time\u00a0 is still ahead of them\u00a0 and they need not be unduly concerned about this.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">In such circumstances, one wonders whether birthday should be a matter of celebration or concern\u00a0 about\u00a0 advancing age .<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">\u00a0Perhaps, the birthday celebration could satisfy the ego of the individual when others extend wishes and greetings and make him\/her feel that he \/ she has lived well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Per se, there is really nothing wrong or objectionable about\u00a0 celebrating the\u00a0 birthday of\u00a0 an individual.\u00a0 However, long term thinkers would inevitably wonder what is there to be celebrated about.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">When the birthday happens , it is really a calendar event and is nothing beyond that. Days come and\u00a0 nights fall and life goes on\u00a0 in whatever way and\u00a0 whatever day it is, whether \u00a0\u00a0a birthday or any other day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">All in all, one\u00a0 may even wonder that remembrance day after the individual passes away\u00a0 ( even though that would also be a calendar event ) is \u00a0more significant than\u00a0 a\u00a0 birthday celebration. On the remembrance day, the descendants\u00a0\u00a0 and others still living would\u00a0 judiciously and carefully evaluate the life content and life process of the person and would pay their respect accordingly in the manner that\u00a0 they deserve.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">In the case of birthday wishes, the extent of wishes could largely be dependent on the wealth of the person celebrating or the position held by him \/ her in business or job.\u00a0\u00a0 If and when this would slip away due to superannuation or any other reason , the number of birthday wishes would reduce sharply , that could\u00a0 cause pain for the person celebrating.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">\u00a0However, such a possibility would not be there in the case of remembrance day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Finally, can we say that\u00a0 birthday celebration is carried out\u00a0 in a\u00a0 vacuum\u00a0 with no\u00a0 real significance and remembrance day is more meaningful,\u00a0 being observed with\u00a0 respect being shown with greater sense of truthfulness and sincerity.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 \u00a0BIRTHDAY &#8211; IS IT A REASON \u00a0FOR CELEBRATION OR A CAUSE FOR \u00a0CONCERN ?
