She has undeniably inherited genes via hereditary affinations from her parental duo Terrence and Malini Ranasinghe who were acclaimed dramatists in Professor Ediriweera Sarathchandra\u2019s dramas , \u201cSinhabahu and \u2018\u2019Maname\u2019 having portrayed the roles of \u201cPotheguru\u201d and \u201cSuppadevi\u201d in the former and \u2018Maname\u2019 Queen in the latter ,having graduated as scholars from the Peradeniya University .Kanchi perhaps has gone a step \u00a0beyond by obtaining best results in MBBS ,working as a clinical physician then further qualifying in post graduate \u00a0medical studies from Brisbane universities to be one of the most qualified medical professionals at a very young age. Emulating her mother<\/span><span class=\"m_6238947419367627183xxcontentpasted0\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"m_6238947419367627183xxcontentpasted0\">Kanchi in interaction with Lalitha Sarathchandra had shown her expertise to portray the character of a modern \u201cSuppadevi\u201d in the stage drama \u201cSinhabahu\u201d which she had successfully depicted a few times travelling to Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><u><\/u><u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/M2AH9wakrwA\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_6238947419367627183xxmsonormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\"><span class=\"m_6238947419367627183xxcontentpasted0\">Kanchi\u00a0had been a bright student throughout her career at school, nominated as school captain in year 1992 at Girl\u2019s High School ,Kandy\u00a0from where she has had her entire education having won many prizes simultaneously taking part actively in artistic activities, been an active member of the drama team in her alma mater, also\u00a0she had also been involved in music, oratory, and sports was awarded the \u201cMallett\u201d gold medal. She was also bestowed with the \u2018best allrounder\u201d award at the 1994 school prize giving. After her MBBS and becoming a clinical physician was awarded a scholarship to Brisbane for her PhD and higher medical credentials in year 2005.<\/span><span class=\"m_6238947419367627183xxcontentpasted0\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"m_6238947419367627183xxcontentpasted0\">Kanchi\u00a0had joined the academic staff of the school of medicine, University of Queensland teaching, taking part in the examination processes too until year 2012 while continuing her post graduate research. These qualifications Kanchi\u00a0had obtained at a relatively young age and a brief period is now also a sought after specialised General Practitioner in QLD, where she works in a variety of subspecialties including Obstetrics, Rural and Remote Emergency Medicine and General Practice .
