Anthony de Silva was the second President of the SLAASC for the year 1974. Anthony was previously employed with the U. S. Embassy in Sri Lanka, where he assisted many Sri Lankans wanting to emigrate to the United States. He was very popular in the Sri Lankan community of Los Angeles and also a very popular President. Anthony de Silva should be remembered as one who contributed to the Sri Lankan community, and he should be thanked for his service.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 31st SLAM, 2 day Golf tournament, 2022, was held at the Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort, Palm Springs, California on January 21st and 22nd. 32 Sri Lankan golfers participated, the event was very well organized and led by Lalith Perera, of Sri Lanka Rugby fame and a past SLAM Champion.<\/span>
\nThe winners this year: Low Net Champion, Sudesh Kodikara, 2nd place Lalith De Alwis and 3rd place, Laith Perera;<\/span>
