I have mentioned and even written about this, to no effect it sadly seems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Presently, I get no newspapers, simply because I am housebound, and will be, until they carry me out in a box, but while I do not want sympathy, I would be extremely happy to see what is happening around our Planet, on television.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the moment, it seems that ALL supposedly BREAKING NEWS has already been BROKEN since WEEKS AGO (sometimes). Worse than this, Television Executives seem to revel in presenting ONLY BAD NEWS STORIES. The Presenters cannot be blamed for it, but all these “CHAIRS” seem to take pleasure in just reporting BAD NEWS. It is high time some of their butts rose to also present stories just like the one I am presently introducing. Lets get down to it, before we all’ go into fits of depression, shall we ??.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHEN A PRIEST OR RELIGIOUS DOES SOMETHING WRONG, THE MEDIA PUT THE ISSUE FIRST. BUT WHEN THEY DO SOMETHING GOOD, THEY KEEP A SHAMEFUL SILENCE\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Why haven’t we seen this on the news?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0More than 6,000 Catholic priests and religious have remained in Ukraine to provide shelter, food, heal the wounded, provide spiritual support and administer the Sacraments.<\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0Some people have gone to confession for the first time, to be prepared for death.\u00a0 They even want to confess over the phone; but the priest cannot do it.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0Some have gone to be baptised before going to war and make their first Communion.<\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0Thousands have taken refuge on seminary grounds in two cities; the Church welcomes them and gives them food, a place to sleep and wash, and spiritual support.<\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0A shell hit the residence of the Bishop of Kharkov, but no one was injured and they are still there preparing takeaways for two nearby metro stations.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0In the diocese of Kyiv, the capital, the supermarkets are empty; lack of bread and water; the auxiliary bishop is in charge of sending what is necessary and even helps to load the vehicles from which they are distributed.<\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0Women and children, about 160, have been welcomed in a seminary; and two Catholic colleges have been converted into dormitories. Seminarians and volunteers serve them.<\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0The\u00a0world has not seen it, because this news does not appear in the news channels or in the newspapers.<\/span><\/p>\n
