Hameedia unveils second Green Mart outlet in Ratmalana<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

8th<\/sup> February 2023 – Colombo: <\/strong>Hameedia, Sri Lanka’s leading menswear brand that is synonymous with style and quality, has continued its journey to transform Sri Lanka\u2019s grocery shopping experience by opening its second Green Mart gourmet grocery store in Ratmalana at No. 271, Galle Road,\u00a0 Ratmalana.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Chief Guests at the official inauguration of the new Green Mart outlet were Diamond Best Food of Companies Chairman Foumi Jisty and Sri Lankan medal-winning swimming champion Julian Bolling. They were joined by Hameedia\u2019s Managing Director Fouzul Hameed, CEO Niroshan De Silva, and Chairman Rizvi Zaheed.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing economic crisis, purchasing food at an affordable price and gaining access to it conveniently has become a significant challenge for people. To ease this situation, Hameedia launched the first Green Mart in Ratmalana last year paving the way for communities in the surrounding areas to easily access an assortment of food and beverages.<\/span><\/p>\n

Green Mart is a gourmet grocery store that aims to help the local community by adding value and simplifying the life of residents of the Ratmalana area and beyond. It is a solution that is sustainable, efficient, cost-effective and gives back to the community. It is a part of the social responsibility promise of the Hameedia Group\u2019s My Friend Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Green Mart offers customers a wide selection of food and beverage choices that includes fresh produce, beverages, frozen foods, snacks, confectionaries, pasta and sauces, jams and spreads, dessert ingredients, dairy products, grocery items, condiments and many more. Green Mart helps customers to fulfil all of their weekly grocery shopping needs and enhances the experience by providing free delivery of daily essentials to customers residing within a three-kilometre radius of the store. They can also get the best deals by registering with the Green Mart rewards program \u2013 \u2018Smart Buy\u2019. The program allows them to collect valuable points with every purchase, all of which can be redeemed when required to avail themselves to amazing discounts and offers periodically.<\/span><\/p>\n

Expressing his opinion about the new store, Fouzul Hameed stated, \u201cLast year, we launched our first Green Mart store in Ratmalana to help the communities in the area to access the widest range of food and beverages at an affordable price while also gaining additional value with every purchase. The store has received positive reviews and therefore we decided to embark on the journey to expand our footprint in the area with the unveiling of this second store. Now, we are able to offer a larger collection of food and beverages for every home. We are also able to enhance our delivery levels and serve more customers efficiently than before.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The new store also signals the elevation of the Green Mart delivery services as it promises to deliver orders within 30 minutes from confirmation, subject to a few terms and conditions. Additionally, Green Mart will be soon available online through the upcoming website which will allow customers to place orders from their computers or smart devices from anywhere conveniently.<\/span><\/p>\n
