        \"CHANDIRAPAL<\/p>\n

        1955 vs. Madras H.A. Chandi was another outstanding Forward who played for the Tamil Union from the late 1940s until the mid 1960s.\u00a0 He played Centre Forward and Left Inside most of the time, and was a neat artist who was able to get past his opponents with great agility.<\/span><\/p>\n

        He played for the Government Services at the National championships from 1956 to 1964, captaining the winning team in 1961.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

                                1966\u00a0 Tour of South and North India <\/span>Royce was an extremely talented Left Extreme with speed and guile. <\/span>He represented the Colombo H.A. at the National Championships in 1964 and 1966. <\/span>He went into Planting in 1966.\u00a0 Thereby, missing out on an impressive international career. <\/span>He emigrated to the USA in 2003 with his family.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fuard, he represented the Matale H.A. at the National Championships from 1964 to 1966, 1968 and 1969, captaining the team in 1968.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                          1969\u00a0 Tour of South and North India <\/span>As a Right Half, Sanath was solid in defence and would surprise his opponents when he forged an attack.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                          He represented the Colombo H.A. at the National Championships from 1963 to 1969, captaining in 1970 and again in 1974.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

                                          1. SAM ABEYSEKERA<\/strong> (born 1944) (Forward) (Burgher R.C. and Colombo H.A.)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                            1969\u00a0 Tour of South and North India <\/span>A wily player, he was a creative Forward and kept his opponents guessing.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                            He represented the Colombo H.A. at the National Championships in 1964 and 1966.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                            1. S.B.S. GALAGAMA<\/strong> (born 1945) (Left Inside) (Burgher R.C., Matale and Nationalised H.A.)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                              1969\u00a0 Tour of South and North India <\/span>1970\u00a0 vs Mysore H.A. <\/span>Saliya was a Left Inside who would change his game and style of play, which would surprise his opponents many a time.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                              He represented the Nationalised Services H.A. at the National Championships.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                              1. N.M.M. FOUZER<\/strong> (born 1940) (Right Back) (Old Zahirians S.C. Malay CC and Matale H.A.)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                                1969\u00a0 Tour of South and North India <\/span>1970\u00a0 vs Mysore H.A.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>Light on his feet, tall and lanky, Fouzer was a classy defender whose positional play was impeccable. He would stem any dangerous move in the \u2018D\u2019 and simultaneously create an attacking move.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                                He represented Matale H.A. from 1960 to 1967.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                                1. CLIFFORD T. RODRIGO<\/strong> (born 1943) (Forward) (Old Wesleyites, Burgher R.C., Colombo and Mercantile H.As)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                                  1969\u00a0 Tour of South and North India <\/span>Clifford was a Forward that any team would want. A tireless player both in attack and defence, he was a match winner at all levels.\u00a0 Also had the knack of deflecting passes into the net, surprising deep defenders and goalies.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                                  He represented the Mercantile H.A. at the National Championships from 1964 to 1970, captaining in 1971 and 1973, and also the Colombo H.A.in 1972, 1974\/75.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                                                    1973\u00a0 vs Mysore H.A. <\/span>1974\u00a0 Tour of South and North India <\/span>Shanti was one of the very best all-round sportsmen at Wesley College.\u00a0 A great lover of hockey, he was a prominent figure in forming the Old Wesleyites Hockey Club.\u00a0 A tireless defender, was an asset to any team.\u00a0 At the National Championships he represented Colombo H.A. from 1969 to 1975, captaining in 1973 and 1975, playing the winning teams of 1973 and 1974; and Joint champions in 1971 and 1972.\u00a0 Representing the Mercantile H.A., he played in 1977 and the winning teams of 1979 and 1982.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                                                    A prominent academic, he was the Principal of Wesley College from 2009 to 2013 and mainly responsible for initiating and building the swimming pool and \u2026\u2026\u2026..<\/span><\/p>\n
