Some things only a mum can\u00a0<em>fix<\/em>\u2026 like the cabinet doors her husband couldn\u2019t, and his bruised ego when he found out she could! Broken shoelaces\u2026 broken hearts\u2026 breaking up with your sweetheart.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Some things only a mum can\u00a0<em>know<\/em>\u2026 like how long it takes to drive from piano lessons to football practice\u2026 how many pizzas you need for a sleepover\u2026 the number of days left in a term. The rest of us can only wonder\u2026 \u201cMum, what was it like when that infant\u2019s cry first filled the room? Or the day the school bus pulled to a stop, you placed a kiss on a five-year-old\u2019s cheek, waved goodbye and then saw the tricycle\u2014silent and still? How did you feel? Did you cry? Did you smile?\u201d Were you like Mary who <strong>\u201c<em>quietly treasured all these things in her heart<\/em>\u201d?\u2019\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">A mother who loves and prays for her children is a force to be reckoned with. When a preacher stopped by a house and asked to speak to the mother, her little boy said, \u2018You can\u2019t see her right now, she\u2019s praying.\u2019 That\u2019s because Susanna Wesley spent one hour every day praying for each of her seventeen children. Eventually two of them, John and Charles, were used by God to bring a spiritual awakening to Britain and America and establish the Methodist Church.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Such is the influence of a praying mother.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Courtesy of Max Lucado<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\"><strong>A Mother&#8217;s Day Prayer to Honour and Bless Moms.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Heavenly Father,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">I speak this prayer to you now in gratitude and praise for the gift of mothers. My mother, those of my friends, relatives, those I\u2019ll never know, all mothers. Thank you for the role they play in the family unit. Thank you for their teachings, their wisdom, their patience, and understanding. Thank you for the physical, emotional, and\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.christianity.com\/wiki\/christian-life\/what-are-spiritual-gifts-understanding-the-types-and-discovering-yours.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>spiritual gifts<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0they possess. I pray that you help mothers all across the world to be a blessing upon their children. Whether delivering affirmation or discipline, I pray that you help every word and action to be done in love. And I pray that children throughout the world would take time to honour their mothers, that you would show them how to uniquely do so.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">I pray that these mothers also act as a blessing beyond their households, reaching into their extended families, communities, churches, schools. I pray that the impact of motherhood is revered throughout society and that these women are acknowledged for their everyday impact on the world. May you guide each of them into fulfilling their purpose here on Earth.
