This year the focus is on the use of plastic that is contaminating this planet Earth, we call home.<\/span><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">But almost seven years ago a Sri Lankan born music icon introduced a song and video years ahead of the World\u2019s most influential scientific and entertainment communities.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Alston Koch and his son James Koch together with Sean Stone of Hollywood ( Son of multi Academy Award winning Hollywood director (\u2018Oliver Stone \u2018) presented this historical video on World TV with the support of Symphony Enviromental taking this message to the World.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Sri Lanka\u2019s iconic and international award winning singer-songwriter and environmental advocate Alston Koch has brought the world to attention by releasing an amazing song and video on World Environment Day years ahead of the advocates of Climate Change and the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sundaytimes.lk\/230611\/magazine\/sri-lankan-icon-alston-koch-raises-the-flag-yet-again-on-wed-522005.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-115568 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sundaytimes.lk\/230611\/uploads\/rt-Fredrick-021.jpg\" alt=\"World Environment Day - elanka\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">This time the negatives of using plastic which has stunned and polluted the land and seas worldwide causing huge environmental damage is portrayed in a beautiful video edited and directed by James Koch. Written and sung by veteran Alston with the support of Sean Stone son of Oliver Stone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Sean Stone also a Hollywood actor appeared alongside James Koch (screen name \u2018Frederick James Koch\u2019) in the Hollywood film \u2018NIGHTWALK\u2019 now released in 33 Countries and 19 languages by LIONSGATE films.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Frederick-James studied with the National Institute of Dramatic Arts NIDA and later graduated from the Actors Centre Australia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Frederick-James made his acting debut as supporting lead in the motion picture \u2018A Common Man\u2019 alongside Sir Ben Kingsley followed by supporting roles in films such as Impact: Earth alongside Tom Berringer and most recently in Nightwalk sharing the screen with Mickey Rouke, Eric Roberts and Sean Stone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Alston Koch\u00a0is a\u00a0Sri Lanka\u00a0born Australian \u2013 Sri Lankan singer-songwriter, film producer, record producer and actor. He was often lauded in the Australian and Asian media as \u201cAsia\u2019s King of Pop\u201d or \u201cPop King of Asia\u201d after gaining international success in the late 1970s.\u00a0He has performed worldwide and achieved international success in Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, India and Sri Lanka among other places.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">He received\u00a0State of California Senate\u2019s Certificate of Recognition and Certificate of Special\u00a0US Congressional\u00a0Recognition for improving the lives of the communities in America.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">He migrated to Australia where he was most successful in the entertainment and professional music industry while recording for RCA\/Laser Records and the Australian TV Network Channel 9\u2019s \u2018Living Sound\u2019 recording label.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">In Australia, he formed his band Dark Tan and recorded three international hits on the\u00a0RCA\u00a0label.
