Earlier this year, the company extended its Kurunegala branch by adding a state-of-the-art Eye and ENT Diagnostic Centre to provide customers with a wider selection of eye and hearing care solutions all under one roof.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Since inception, Vision Care has carried out various initiatives that have served to improve the lives of Sri Lankans islandwide. Vision Care celebrated its 25 year anniversary in 2017 by officially launching \u2018Nethralokana Sathkara\u2019, a pioneering initiative that marked the company&#8217;s milestone by distributing 25,000 spectacles free-of-charge among deserving people from underprivileged communities from different parts of Sri Lanka. Currently, the company allocates funds from each pair of spectacles, spectacle lenses and sunglasses that it sells to \u2018Nethralokana Sathkara\u2019. The funds are utilised to carry out a range of projects within the main three focus areas. Additionally, it also carries out regular free eye health camps in islandwide, especially in underserved communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Vision Care General Manager Harsha Maduranga stated, \u201cVision Care has a long history of helping citizens from underserved communities to access healthcare. Our primary CSR initiative, Nethralokana Sathkara, and others have helped transform the lives of thousands of Sri Lankans. This 1990 Suwa Seriya Foundation\u2019s \u2018Adopt an Ambulance\u2019 project is yet another way we can contribute towards the betterment of such communities. We are proud to be a part of this massive effort by the country\u2019s corporates to keep this vital service going.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Chairman of the 1990 Suwa Seriya Foundation Dumindra Ratnayaka commented, \u201cWe are grateful to Vision Care for coming forward to adopt an ambulance. These ambulances play a significant role in helping the Sri Lankan people in their day-to-day lives by rushing individuals daily to hospitals islandwide. It must be noted that 1990 is an integral part of primary healthcare in this country, and it is appreciated immensely by people in the rural parts of the country.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">With over 30 years of service excellence, Vision Care has transformed healthcare in Sri Lanka by offering the widest selection of eye and hearing care products and services including spectacles, sunglasses, contact lenses and hearing aids.
