This 2 year old boy with a brain tumor needed to attend the main Cancer hospital which was 6 hours away. His mother was unemployed and did not have the means to bring Viku to the hospital. CDF came to the rescue to save his life with multiple trips regardless of the distance, time and cost. Living 200km away from the hospital, Viku\u2019s mother battling poverty in addition to her own health issues was a daunting task.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Surviving cancer after gruelling treatment is a huge milestone in a child\u2019s life. CDF takes pride in<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">giving life changing support to children like Viku by receiving the treatment they need on time to extend their lives and resume living a normal life again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Little Kusal<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Little Kusal was only 8 years old when he was diagnosed with leukemia. unable to travel 40km regularly by more than one bus route, he was transported for more than a year for treatment. He is now free of the illness. He can go to school and play with his friends again. Timely treatment makes all the difference in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Indra<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Viku\u2019s story is one of many. If it wasn\u2019t for CDF Indra would have had a<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">painful end to her life without being able to get to the hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Little Malik<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Little Malik needed regular treatment during Covid and his mother Fatima did not have any other way to bring him to the hospital regularly<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Hemasiri<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Hemasiri is a Kidney patient who needs regular dialysis to survive. He wasn\u2019t fit enough to travel by public transport. CDF regularly helps him with his weekly trips to the hospital to receive the dialysis<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Kalyani<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Kalyani is a palliative state patient who needed transportation to relieve her pain<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\"><strong>CDF PATIENT TRANSPORT CHARITY VALUES<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\"><strong>COMPASSION<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Reaching out to all those in need to alleviate their distress, irrespective of age, race, gender or status with empathy during an unimaginable daunting time in their life. \u201cA kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\"><strong>DEDICATION<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Accomplishment of an initiative that fulfills a fundamental necessity for those in need.
