Both competitors and golf enthusiasts alike celebrated the tournament\u2019s return to the rolling greens of the country &#8211; following a 4-year Covid hiatus &#8211; with a day filled with entertainment, camaraderie, and of course, top-tier competitive golf.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">OMEGA is a name long established with luxury timepieces, but also in association with sport \u2013 golf in particular aligned with the brand\u2019s philosophy of precision and distinguished history. As title sponsor of the prestigious OMEGA Masters and timepiece of choice for some of the game\u2019s biggest hitters, it was only inevitable that Chatham Luxury Watches &#8211; authorised dealer for OMEGA in Sri Lanka &#8211; would bring together the luxury brand and the country\u2019s most esteemed golf club to create a world class golf tournament.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">This year, a total of 138 participants took part in the OMEGA Trophy, making up 46 teams playing in the 3-person Texas scramble format.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">All teams were vying for top prize: an all-expenses-paid trip for the winning team of three to watch the OMEGA European Masters 2024 in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, with the added incentive of the opportunity to play at the 9-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Eventually, the euphoric winning team comprised of Ranil Pathirana, Rathven de Livera and Suranga Palliaguruge. 1<sup>st<\/sup> Runners up were Anusha Senadhira, Sachin de Silva and Sharon Fernando, and 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Runners up were WAK Fernando, Mahela Jayawardane and Kapila Dandeniya. Additionally, the award for Longest Drive (Men) went to Mahela Jayawardane, and Longest Drive (Women) to Shyanika Fernanado.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">All awards were meted out by Mr. Mahesh Hirdaramani, Director Hirdaramani Group, Mr. Indrajith Ranawana, CEO Chatham Luxury to the winners and runners up, while Dr. Rohitha Silva, Captain of the Golf Club presented the awards for the longest drive men &amp; women, after which the truly memorable golf-packed day came to a close with cocktails.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">OMEGA is represented in Sri Lanka by Chatham Luxury Watches &#8211; Sri Lanka\u2019s first multi-brand luxury watch retailer.
