How many times have we heard “stories” like this? !!<\/span><\/p>\n

“My biscuits were too hard<\/span>
\n Not like HIS Mother used to make<\/span>
\n He did’nt like my curries<\/span>
\n Or even the love-cake<\/span>
\n The coffee was’nt brewed right<\/span>
\n Nor was HIS herbal-tea<\/span>
\n The buriyani was “not nice”<\/span>
\n Nor was the mulligatawny<\/span>
\n Shirt-buttons “missed” the button-hole<\/span>
\n Tie knotted on askew<\/span>
\n I did’nt mend his socks<\/span>
\n Just like HIS Mother used to do”<\/span>
\n I stood there, quite dumbfounded<\/span>
\n While HE kept finding fault<\/span>
\n “The eggs are NOT boiled right<\/span>
\n Where IS the pepper & the salt”?<\/span>
\n “I think I’m getting tired” I said<\/span>
\n “I’m going to take a nap<\/span>
\n Can’t blame your Mum for giving you<\/span>
\n A thundering bloody slap<\/span>
\n You’re just a great big grumble-bum<\/span>
\n Who knows sweet bugger-all<\/span>
\n And you can go and get your sleep<\/span>
\n On the couch, out in the hall”<\/span>
\n I’ve heard this lament, many times<\/span>
\n It cuts just like a knife<\/span>
\n When made by other women-kind<\/span>
\n But certainly NOT my wife<\/span>
\n Everything I’ve said above is true<\/span>
\n I’m sure you will agree<\/span>
\n The strife of many Lankan wives<\/span>
\n Make them clamour to be free!<\/span><\/p>\n
