The majority of Sri Lankan-Americans live in the vicinity of either New York City (where there\u2019s a Little Sri Lanka on Staten Island), central New Jersey, or Los Angeles.\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Source :\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.travelgossip.co.uk\/latestnews\/sri-lanka-visitors-urged-to-apply-for-evisa-at-least-a-few-days-before-departure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travelgossip<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Sri Lanka has introduced a new eVisa scheme, with visitors obliged to apply online before arriving in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">The new scheme, introduced on 17 April, replaces the visa on arrival.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">In an update to its travel advice, the Foreign Office said: \u201cYou should apply for a\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.srilankaevisa.lk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sri Lanka \u2018Electronic Travel Authorisation\u2019 (ETA)<\/a>\u00a0online, at least a few days before departure.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">\u201cYou should get your approval notice within 24 hours, and you can use this to enter Sri Lanka.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Visitors must also complete an online arrival form, which can be done up to three days before arriving in Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">The Foreign Office advice adds: \u201cYou do not need a visa if you\u2019re travelling through Sri Lanka by air, as long as the connecting flight is within 24 hours of your arrival.
