The largest cities from each province have been chosen, and data has been obtained from the Canadian 2021 National Census.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Definitions<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">For ethnic origins, this article uses Statistics Canada\u2019s \u201clist of ethnic or cultural origins 2021\u201d (with in-depth definitions) which can be found\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www23.statcan.gc.ca\/imdb\/p3VD.pl?Function=getVD&amp;TVD=1310929\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">In terms of immigrant status, this article refers to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">\u201cImmigrants\u201d who are newcomers to Canada who have been granted permanent residence (PR) status, and\/or individuals who have become naturalized Canadian citizens;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">\u201cNon-immigrants\u201d which refers to people who are Canadian citizens by birth; and<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">\u201cNon-permanent residents\u201d who are foreign nationals who have been allowed to reside in Canada for a temporary period, usually on a study or work permit of some kind.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Toronto<\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Toronto is Canada\u2019s biggest city and metropolitan center in Canada and within the province of\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/landing-settlement-canada-ontario.html\">Ontario<\/a>.
