Royal, after an outstanding season thrashed a highly talented and skilled Trinity Team led by that fine No 8, and later Sri Lanka Captain Ajit Abeyratne. The first leg was a record 19-3 win for Royal at Longden Place, where Royal dominated possession and territory. Chitta Ranjan de Silva (Bulla), \u201cThe General\u201d at prop led from the front in a famous victory.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The 2nd leg of the Rugby at Peradeniya was a nail-biter, to say the least. Dilanjan Soyza, the Royal winger scored in the first five minutes for Royal and burly prop C.T \u201cTikka\u201d de Silva converted from the corner flag, with his toe kick.
