Founded in 1981, Orient Finance PLC has solidified its position as a leading finance company in Sri Lanka through consistent growth and financial prudence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">In the past fiscal year, the company has achieved significant financial results, with a profit of approximately 350 million and an asset base increasing over 20 billion. With the successful implementation of decisive actions and recovery strategies, Orient Finance has stabilized its financial standing, paving the way for sustainable future growth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">In honour of its 43rd anniversary, Orient Finance PLC is contributing 7,500 saplings to a significant reforestation project in the Kalutara district. This initiative, supported by local Pradesiya Sabhas, Divisional Secretariats, schools, and community organizations, focuses on revitalizing the renowned Yajirala, Runakande, and Haycock rainforests.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Kalutara, covering 1,598 square kilometers in the Western Province, is distinguished by its major water bodies\u2014Kalu Ganga, Panadura Ganga, and Bentota Ganga\u2014and a 40 km coastline. Despite its natural wealth, the district&#8217;s forest cover is critically low, at less than 9%. The project aims to enhance tree density to mitigate soil erosion, landslide risks, and deforestation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Collaborating with the Forest Department, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and the Land Commission of the Western Province, Orient Finance has committed to protecting and conserving the district&#8217;s lowland wet evergreen and mangrove forests. This effort is organized by the Mihijaya Environment Society, an organization recognized by the United Nations for its environmental contributions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">K.M.M.
