In Sri Lanka he is attacked, along with other members of his team, and Digby suffers a head injury with dire consequences. Treatment is of no avail, until, on the advice of his treating doctors in Australia, he has to return to the scene of the crime, in the Wilpattu National Park to trial a cure. There he meets with danger and is only saved in the nick of time. This eventually brings the desired results, but only with the assistance of his parents, friends, and loyal girlfriend. Adventure, crime, and retribution are the themes of this novel. One reviewer states that there is lots happening in the novel to keep the reader\u2019s interest, with vivid descriptions of the Sri Lankan landscapes, weather, food, jungles and culture.
