This majestic tree is a part of the island\u2019s rich biodiversity and plays a crucial role in its forest ecosystems. In 2020, the conservation status of this species was revised to \u2018Critically Endangered<\/strong>\u2019 after its discovery in the wild for the first time in over a century.
