Earlier, almost similar suggestion\u00a0 for long working hours every\u00a0 day \u00a0was made by the founder Director of Infosys , which was also heavily criticized by cross section of people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Critics termed such suggestion as impracticable, ridiculous , inhuman and totally\u00a0\u00a0 outrageous .\u00a0 However, a section of people have not rejected such suggestion outright and have pointed out\u00a0 that \u00a0the spirit behind such suggestion must be understood and appreciated ,even if the critics feel that suggestion is unacceptable for them. Certainly, much more serious thought and consideration\u00a0 should be given to\u00a0 the suggestions made by two very important corporate leaders with several years of proven track record of excellent standards and widely perceived to be persons with high level of commitment to work culture\u00a0 and progress of the country .<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">The fact is that \u00a0working long hours everyday is not unusual and \u00a0it need not cause surprise .<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">.It is very well known that in India today housewives work more than twelve hours a day in cooking, looking after the children and family\u00a0\u00a0 members\u00a0\u00a0 and taking care of the household requirements. While\u00a0 they may not be working for twelve hours at\u00a0 single stretch everyday, they certainly do so in toto.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Even working women in India are known to not only work in offices or factories and after returning home , most of them \u00a0continue to \u00a0work\u00a0 to take care of children, family members and \u00a0attend to other household duties.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Self employed persons, particularly in tiny scale such as\u00a0 shop keepers, hawkers and \u00a0those \u00a0having tiny workshops are known to work for long hours everyday, may be round 12 hours\u00a0 or even more on some days.\u00a0 Of course, agricultural workers too are known to work for long hours physically \u00a0toiling on the field.\u00a0 There are other persons working in other areas such as construction activities , security functions , policemen also work long hours.\u00a0 The military personnel posted in remote areas cannot complain about working long hours and they do not even meet \u00a0family members for several months.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">With the work from home becoming an acceptable form of work culture in India today, working ninety hours a week may not be that arduous as it\u00a0 is \u00a0made to look.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">What is important to note here is that when the job carried out by the person and the \u00a0personal \u00a0taste of the person become same and synonymous, then the individual really start enjoying the work and long working hours will not be a pain but a pleasure for such persons.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">When 90 hours work a week is suggested , it certainly does not mean that the person would not avail holiday and work 90 hours week all thorough the year. Certainly , this suggestion should not be misinterpreted with a view that humans are sought to be converted to human machine.\u00a0 This is not the concept at all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Finally, the persons who have made the suggestion have not asked for any legislation from the government to implement \u00a0their suggestion.
