Mrs. Shirani Gunawardane, long-time member of our Southern California <\/u><\/u><\/span>Sri Lankan Community, passed away following a brief illness on May 25, 2025.<\/u><\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

Shirani is the dear wife of <\/u><\/u>Dr. Gamini Gunawardane, Mother of Sajindra Gunawardane and Shalini Jayasundera, Grandmother of Nilshan and Sohan Jayasundera, and Mother-in-Law of\u00a0<\/u><\/u>Dr. Thiran Jayasundera.<\/u><\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

The family will be having a private cremation and ceremony.<\/u><\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

In lieu of cards and flowers, the family requests that any donations be made in Shirani\u2019s memory to Sarathchandra Buddhist Center at Zelle: 818-760-8361\u00a0<\/u><\/u>or mail:\u00a010717 Oxnard Street, <\/a><\/u><\/u>North Hollywood, California 91606<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
