Every Egyptian has their religious affiliation specified on their identity card. If your identity card states you were born into a Muslim family, it cannot be changed.\u00a0This means that the right to choose what to believe is withdrawn from Egyptians at their birth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Given this restriction, does that prevent people in Egypt from choosing to accept Jesus as their Savior? No, there are actually many who do just that! \u00a0But often they must keep their faith secret to avoid persecution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\"><strong>The Man in White<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Rahman, an Uncharted Ministries leader, was ministering to people in a small village in the Egyptian desert when he came upon Ahmed. This man was the Imam of the village\u2019s mosque and the town\u2019s most important Islamic leader.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Ahmed\u2019s devotion to Islam and the five daily prayers was easily seen by the dark callus on his forehead known as a \u201czabiba\u201d (Arabic for raisin). This mark is caused by the repeated rubbing of the forehead on the prayer rug after decades of repeated prostration during prayer. Devout Muslims like Ahmed are proud of this mark and see it as an outward sign of their devotion to Allah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">After being introduced, Ahmed said, \u201cAh, you are Rahman. Just the man I am looking for. Please tell me the meaning of my dream last night.\u201d\u202f\u00a0Rahman asked, \u201cWhy do you think I can help you? What was your dream?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Ahmed quickly described his dream. \u201cLast night a man dressed in bright white came to me in a dream. He said, \u2018I am Jesus Christ.\u2019\u202f\u00a0I didn\u2019t know who he was so I asked him to tell me more about himself.\u202f\u00a0The man in white said, \u2018Tomorrow you will meet a man named Rahman and he will tell you all about me.\u2019\u202f\u00a0So, Rahman, who is Jesus?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Rahman told the Imam all about Jesus Christ and his powerful life and love.\u202fAhmed invited Rahman into his home to share this news with his wife (the covered woman on the far right), his sister (far left) and his daughter (in blue) along with a member of our Egyptian team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">During the conversation, Ahmed\u2019s entire family made a decision to follow Jesus! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">The Lord Jesus chose to appear in a dream to an Imam from a small village in the Egyptian desert whose heart was ready to receive Him.
