There are many of us, myself included, who are in this position today (in the departure lounge), as I frequently put it, some of us, lucky in life, others, not so. However, it is a very well known fact that life is what you make it. Everything depends on YOU.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #993366;\">I really do not care whether you are religious or atheist.<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #993366;\">God, (and there IS only one God), gave each one of us a brain, when we were born, and, how you USE that brain is imperative on how you end up.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #993366;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Personally, as a young man, nearly everything I did was WRONG. Without going into details, (THEY will be in an Autobiography I am writing (whenever I get the time to do so), BUT, the fact of the matter is that I knew where to &#8220;draw the line&#8221;, as I grew older &amp; wiser. Anyway, this is another story for my eLanka readers. Time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_589083595m_389543683684237321ydpaf03303ayiv5622152785msonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #800080;\">It seems just yesterday that I was young, just married and embarking on my new life.\u00a0 Yet in a way, it seems like eons ago, and I wonder where all the years went.\u00a0 I know that I lived them all.\u00a0 I have glimpses of how it was back then and of all my hopes and dreams.\u00a0 But, here it is&#8230; The winter of my life and it catches me by surprise&#8230;How did I get here so fast?\u00a0 Where did the years go and where did my youth go?<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_589083595m_389543683684237321ydpaf03303ayiv5622152785msonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #800080;\">I remember well seeing older people through the years and thinking that those older people were years away from me and that winter was so far off that I could not fathom it or imagine fully what it would be like.\u00a0 But, here it is&#8230;my friends are retired and getting grey &#8211; or gone&#8230;they move slower and I see an older person now.\u00a0 Some are in better and some worse shape than me&#8230;but, I see the great change&#8230;.Not like the ones that I remember who were young and vibrant&#8230;but, like me, their age is beginning to show and we are now those older folks that we used to see and never thought we&#8217;d be.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_589083595m_389543683684237321ydpaf03303ayiv5622152785msonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #800080;\">Each day now, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day!\u00a0 And taking a nap is not a treat anymore&#8230; it&#8217;s mandatory!\u00a0 &#8216;Cause if I don&#8217;t on my own free will&#8230;I just fall asleep where I sit!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_589083595m_389543683684237321ydpaf03303ayiv5622152785msonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #800080;\">And so&#8230;now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains and the loss of strength and ability to go and do things that I wish I had done but never\u00a0 did!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_589083595m_389543683684237321ydpaf03303ayiv5622152785msonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #800080;\">But, at least I know, that though the winter has come, and I&#8217;m not sure how long it will last&#8230;this I know &#8211; that when it&#8217;s over on this earth&#8230;it&#8217;s NOT over.\u00a0 A new adventure will begin!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_589083595m_389543683684237321ydpaf03303ayiv5622152785msonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #800080;\">Yes, I have regrets.\u00a0 There are things I wish I hadn&#8217;t done&#8230;things &#8211; I should have done, but indeed, there are many things I&#8217;m happy to have done.\u00a0 It&#8217;s all in a lifetime.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_589083595m_389543683684237321ydpaf03303ayiv5622152785msonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #800080;\">So, if you&#8217;re not in your winter yet&#8230;let me remind you, that it will be here faster than you think.\u00a0 So, whatever you would like to accomplish in your life please do it quickly!\u00a0 Don&#8217;t put things off too long!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_589083595m_389543683684237321ydpaf03303ayiv5622152785msonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #800080;\">Life goes by quickly.\u00a0 So, do what you can today, as you can never be sure whether this is your winter or not!\u00a0 You have no promise that you will see all the seasons of your life&#8230;so, live for today and say all the things that you want your loved ones to remember&#8230;and hope that they appreciate and love you for all the things that you have done for them in all the years past!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_589083595m_389543683684237321ydpaf03303ayiv5622152785msonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px;
