Many will spend this joyous season at home, as a family, parents and all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">These are the lucky ones. A better Christmas present would be impossible to find. Parents and their &#8220;family&#8221; together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">We have to remember that EVERYONE has two special gifts from a loving God, a Father &amp; a Mother. However, by Christmas time, each year, some of these &#8220;gifts&#8221; have already been recalled by their Maker, and are no longer with us. Even as I write this, my two Parents lie together in their eternal sleep, but this does not mean that I have forgotten them. They will still be the BEST PRESENTS that I was lucky enough to receive .<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 So, while officially wishing everyone out there, a very Happy Christmas, on behalf of eLanka, let me please feed you some psyche, rather than Christmas cake (which you have plenty of, already), into your minds, and this is, do not, now or EVER, forget to include your parents in your festivities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">They may, or may not be with you, physically, but, at least, they should be there, in your midst, in Spirit, after all, you do owe your &#8220;good times&#8221; to them. NEVER FORGET YOUR PARENTS. I will never forget mine. This is the only &#8220;gift&#8221; I have to offer my readers, this Christmas. A little boy loved to come and play around it every day. He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; Time went by, the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; \u201cCome and play with me\u201d, the tree asked the boy.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; Boy: \u201cI am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees anymore\u201d the boy replied. \u201cI want toys. I need money to buy them.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; Tree: \u201cSorry, but I do not have money, but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; \u201cCome and play with me\u201d the tree said.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; \u201cI do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; \u201cSorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.\u201d So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; \u201cCome and play with me!\u201d the tree said.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; \u201cI am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you\u201d, the tree said.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; \u201cNo problem, I do not have any teeth to bite\u201d the man replied.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; Tree : \u201cNo more trunk for you to climb on.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; \u201cI am too old for that now\u201d the man said.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; \u201cI really cannot give you anything, the only thing left is my dying roots,\u201d the tree said with tears.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; \u201cI do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years,\u201d the man replied.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; \u201cGood! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, come sit down with me and rest.\u201d The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000080;\">&gt; This is a story of everyone. The tree is like our parents.
