A small guest choir of ex-Ladies College \u201cgirls\u201d performed two <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">special Christmas songs while Ray and Laurensz also sang solos. Perhaps the most poignant part was<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">watching our most elder of stateman, Leslie Ephraims join Laurensz in heartily singing \u201cO holy Night\u201d with a <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">tear in his eye, as he no doubt recalled leading the singing on occasions like these in years gone by. Thank <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">you Leslie.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">A big, big thanks also to Jeremy and Rena Henderling for their contributions to a great evening as detailed by <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">Susan in her report below.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">Pulling the whole show together was Susan Fahir who left no stone unturned in planning and executing in her <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">usual no-fuss style and amazing attention to detail.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">Thank you all once again to all who helped with the preparations and those who attended; it was a lovely <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">evening of celebrating everything Christmas.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">Ray Anthonisz &amp; Laurensz Manricks<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Christmas Dinner<\/strong> &#8211; The colourful red and green table d\u00e9cor provided by Rena Henderling, welcomed <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">members and guests to a night of Carol singing, good food and great music for dancing.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">An entr\u00e9e of patties and cutlets was served during the singing of the Carols and once over guests were treated <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">to a piece of traditional Christmas Cake made and beautifully wrapped by Rena Henderling along with a <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">glass of Champagne .<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">The Christmas buffet table was so inviting with a wonderful Christmas display of lights and Silver Fawns <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">and an extensive meal which included Ghee Rice, Beef Smore, Chicken Curry, Roast Pork, Leg Ham, Potato <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">Vegetable, Brinjal Pahai, Mixed Salad, Seeni Sambol, Coconut Sambol, Mixed Pickle and Date &amp; Lime <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">Chutney. A dessert buffet which included a Fresh Tropical Fruit Salad, Ice Cream Pudding, Pavlova, <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">Individual Chocolate Mousse and Cr\u00e8me Brulee as well as some favourites of Chocolate Cake, Ribbon Cake,<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">Marshmallows, Milk Toffees, Macaroons and Stuffed Dates which had many people coming for \u201cseconds\u201d. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">Thank you Jeremy for all the extra items provided.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">Our DJ, Ty Fox entertained all present with a great selection of music for dancing. A big thank you to our <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">MC for the evening, Laurensz Manricks who as always, did a great job. The raffle was a huge success which <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">helped greatly to defray some of the costs and we must thank all those who supported this by donations of <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">prizes and the purchase of tickets. Thank you to the ticket sellers for a great job.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">I would also like to thank all who came the previous evening to help \u2013 Rena, Gerard, Thomazine, Davenal, <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">Margot, Andy, Preethi, Ray, Winnie and also all who helped that evening. Unfortunately Fyri was recovering <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">after recent surgery and was unable to help in any way. We received many comments on what a great time <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">was had by all.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px; color: #000000;\">Finally I wish to extend my appreciation and thanks to Rena and Jeremy, who were part of my sub committee <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 24px;
