The design of the Inntel\u00a0Hotel in Zaandam\u00a0offers one answer to that question.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">The green, white-lined wooden houses are a traditional feature of the Zaandam\u00a0region in the Netherlands. To give the building a surreal twist, WAV Architecten built\u00a0a hotel that looks like a pile of such traditional houses, carelessly stacked together one on top of the other. The design was so successful that ever since its opening in 2016 and until now, the hotel is always fully booked.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>5. Aimed to unite functionality, design, green features and interactivity, this building completely rethinks the cyber space and culture in Mumbai.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">The design takes up very little space on the ground relatively to its size (10-20% of an ordinary building). It also contains solar panels, turbines capable of harnessing energy from the wind and a full-scale greywater recycling station, which make it an example of sustainability.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>6. However, the most interesting feature of this building isn&#8217;t its height or even ingenious exterior. Capital Gate is most famous for the angle at which it is built.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">In fact, this building holds the Guinness\u00a0record for \u201cthe world\u2019s furthest leaning man-made tower.\u201d It leans almost 18 degrees off-center. To compare, the famous\u00a0Leaning Tower of Pisa leans only at an angle of\u00a04 degrees.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>7. Because that&#8217;s exactly what the locals called it, and the nickname stuck because that&#8217;s what most people call it ever since.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">Frequently compared to zeppelin, an amoeba, or a strange underwater creature, the\u00a0<em>Kunsthaus\u00a0<\/em>is actually a modern art gallery\u00a0specializing in contemporary art starting from the\u00a01960&#8217;s and onwards. At night, the glass exterior of the building flickers with numerous ring-shaped lights, which with no doubt, adds to its otherworldliness even more.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>8. The City of Arts and Sciences<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #ff0000;\"><em>Location:<\/em>\u00a0Valencia, Spain<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #ff0000;\"><em>Designed by:<\/em>\u00a0Santiago Calatrava and F\u00e9lix Candela\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-46355 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/websitedesigns.com.au\/elankanew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/The-City-of-Arts-and-Sciences-e1592925458775.jpg\" alt=\"The City of Arts and Sciences\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">This seemingly-sunken building may look unproportionate and weird, but it is considered an architectural masterpiece and one of the main attractions in Valencia, Spain.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">The building\u00a0is a real entertainment powerhouse: it features an interactive museum with frequently-changing exhibitions, an educational science center, several halls for various workshops, an IMAX dome, an oceanographic center. Both for its design and function,\u00a0<em>The City of Arts and Sciences<\/em>\u00a0was titled as one of the 12 Treasures of Spain.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">An interesting fact about the building is that it is situated in\u00a0the place where the riverbed of the river Turia\u00a0once was. The river was drained\u00a0and redirected because it caused a catastrophic flood in 1957, but\u00a0the riverbed was transformed into a beautiful park.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>9. Crescent Moon Tower<\/strong><\/span><u><\/u><u><\/u><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #ff0000;\"><em>Locaction:<\/em>\u00a0Dubai, UAE\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-46356 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/websitedesigns.com.au\/elankanew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Crescent-Moon-Tower-e1592925647209.jpg\" alt=\"Crescent Moon Tower\" width=\"600\" height=\"416\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">It is as if the crescent moon fell and landed in Dubai, right in the middle of\u00a0Za&#8217;abeel\u00a0Park. This 33-floor building is an entertainment center situated not far from Burj\u00a0Kalifa, the highest building in the world, and the Dubai world trade center. It is a very interesting sight, but we&#8217;d suggest to visit it at night to see it in full bloom.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>10. ArtScience Museum<\/strong><\/span><u><\/u><u><\/u><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #ff0000;\"><em>Location:<\/em>\u00a0Singapore<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #ff0000;\"><em>Designed by:<\/em>\u00a0Moshe Safdie\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-46357 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/websitedesigns.com.au\/elankanew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/ArtScience-Museum-e1592925807566.jpg\" alt=\"ArtScience Museum\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">This is the world&#8217;s first ArtScience museum, which combines various exhibitions both permanent and temporary, many of which are interactive and are not limited to one field (history, physics, art exhibitions and music concerts are all under one roof).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">Dubbed as &#8220;The Welcoming Hand of Singapore&#8221; , the design of the building is actually inspired by a lotus flower, and not a hand. An interesting sustainability feature of the museum is that there is a water drain in the middle of the roof, which\u00a0collects rainwater. The water collected is then\u00a0used in the museum&#8217;s toilets.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>11. The building itself provides a shaded and protected area underneath the arch, which was turned into a kind of a market, where visitors are able to shop, enjoy a meal at a restaurant, enjoy a drink, park their car and\u00a0live, all at the same time. So this building is a great example of creating a modern communal living space.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">The inside of the building is covered by a mural\u00a0by Arno Coenen, featuring different natural objects: fruits, vegetables, seeds, fish, flowers, which definitely adds to the cheerful &#8220;market&#8221; atmosphere.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>12. The Piano Building<\/strong><\/span><u><\/u><u><\/u><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #ff0000;\"><em>Location:<\/em>\u00a0Huainan City, China<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #ff0000;\"><em>Designed by:<\/em>\u00a0architectural students from the Hefei University of Technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-46359 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/websitedesigns.com.au\/elankanew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/The-Piano-Building-e1592926554663.jpg\" alt=\"The Piano Building\" width=\"600\" height=\"410\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">Often called &#8220;the most romantic building in China&#8221;, this musical duo is a popular space for newlyweds to take wedding photographs. The transparent violin is made of glass panels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">The violin\u00a0contains the escalators and a staircase, which lead to the piano, which accommodates 2 halls.The building is used\u00a0as a showroom for exhibiting development plans for the students of the Hefei University of Technology and to host concerts (clearly).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>13. Alps Hotel<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #ff0000;\"><em>Designed by:<\/em>\u00a0Andrii Rozhko\u00a0<\/span><u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-46360 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/websitedesigns.com.au\/elankanew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Alps-Hotel-e1592926684860.jpg\" alt=\"Alps Hotel\" width=\"600\" height=\"393\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">The design of this cliff side hotel hasn&#8217;t been realized just yet, but we can&#8217;t wait for it to come true, as we can&#8217;t wait to experience how it feels to live in a glacier-looking glass hotel on the edge of the towering Alps. If this design will be built, or rather, when it will be built, we are sure it will be one of world&#8217;s top-ranking clifftop hotels.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>14. La Muralla Roja<\/strong><\/span><u><\/u><u><\/u><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #ff0000;\"><em>Location:<\/em>\u00a0Calpe, Spain<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #ff0000;\"><em>Designed by:<\/em>\u00a0Ricardo Bofill\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-46361 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/websitedesigns.com.au\/elankanew\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/La-Muralla-Roja-e1592926852484.jpg\" alt=\"La Muralla Roja\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">This apartment complex may be minimalist, but it is definitely very eye-catching. It was featured in a few films and can be literally translated as &#8220;the red wall&#8221; from Spanish. The building was inspired by traditional Mediterranean architecture, but with an Esher-eque\u00a0labyrinth twist.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>15. The concert hall was inspired by the rocky canyons and unusual rock formations in general, and it really looks like a huge empty rock in the middle of a forest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">From the other side of the building, there will be a big stage.
