Readers will have to be satisfied with the division of this story, starting off with &#8220;Calypso d\/Ceylon&#8221; lyrics only.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- Responsive --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-5123580823957590\" data-ad-slot=\"7875984934\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">This lovely little Country that we lived in,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">Filled with natural beauty, up to the brim,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">She attracted tourists, from near and far,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">And was called Ceylon, but now, Sri Lanka.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">It was a Country that, beyond doubt,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">There was really something, to talk about,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">Take her other name, to say in the least,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">Ceylon was the famous &#8220;Pearl of the East&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">Take Colombo, Kandy, or even Galle,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">Just take any place in Lanka at all,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">The motto of our Land was &#8220;Simplicity&#8221;,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">Interlaced with warm hospitality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">We have had some very good years of life,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">We have also had our struggles and strife,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">\u00a0Where flowers in profusion, sway in the breeze.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">Every word in this Calypso is true,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">Otherwise I would not sing it to you,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #003366;\">Now, that all her banners we have unfurled,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;
