There was a similar situation during the JVP insurrection\u00a0and it was worse when only one took its place in the Perahera and that too in the Sri Dalada Maligawa section of the Perahera.\u00a0 The Perahera is composed\u00a0of four sections, that of God Natha, God Sri Vishnu, God Kataragama and Goddess .Pathni<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">During the Insurrection\u00a0Elephant owners refuse to let their animals to take part in the Perahra and the Insignia of Gods were carried by hand and on foot by the Kapurala&#8217;s ( the ritual heads )\u00a0 They continued for eleven\u00a0days<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">There are a few dancers\u00a0and a limited amount\u00a0Tusers On first night there were\u00a0 only thirty\u00a0five\u00a0elephants including\u00a0the Tuskers of he Sri Dalada Maligawa..\u00a0 In a normalPerahera night the amount exceeds fifty elephants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">The Esala Perahera concludes on 4th August with the Day Perahera and the visit to the President to inform him that the Perahera has been successfully concluded.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">The conduct of\u00a0the Perahera is the responsibility of the State , but the person who has the authority to conduct the Perahera\u00a0not is the Diyawadana Nilame or he lay custodian\u00a0of the Sri Dalada Maligawa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;
