color: #000080;\">I love that we have national holidays that reflect the significance for every faith\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.worldatlas.com\/articles\/countries-with-the-most-public-holidays.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">(i.e. with the most number of national holidays in the world)<\/a>, and that we get the best of festive food from our neighbours because, that is the\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">diversity<\/em>\u00a0of Sri Lanka.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"a04d\" class=\"hr hs en ht b hu hv hw hx hy hz ia ib ic id ie if ig ih ii ij ik il im in io ef dd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that people will stop and help you on the road if you\u2019ve lost your way, even when they are busy themselves, because that is the\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">simplicity<\/em>\u00a0of Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that we understand when one of our friends is fasting during\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ramadan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">Ramadan<\/a>, one of our friends is observing\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lent\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">Lent<\/a>, one of our friends is\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/archives.dailynews.lk\/2007\/01\/17\/fea10.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">observing \u201csil\u201d in temple,<\/a>\u00a0and one of our friends is doing a Pooja for\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Maha_Shivaratri\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">Maha Shivarathri<\/a>, because that level of understanding and friendship, is the\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">glory<\/em>of Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that we all have the same local remedies for a cold or cough or headache or stomach ache, and that it has\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.panadol.ie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">Panadol<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"http:\/\/siddhalepa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">Sidhalepa balm<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.srilankansupperclub.com\/blog\/2017\/7\/8\/sri-lankan-ginger-coriander-tea-kothamalli\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">kothamalli<\/a>\u00a0as its core, because that is what it feels like when you\u2019re\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">having the flu<\/em>\u00a0in Sri Lanka.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"0498\" class=\"hr hs en ht b hu hv hw hx hy hz ia ib ic id ie if ig ih ii ij ik il im in io ef dd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that we unite against anything for a game of cricket, because\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1996_Cricket_World_Cup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">1996 will always feel like yesterday<\/a>, and where\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.olympic.org\/susanthika-jayasinghe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">Susanthika\u2019s Olympic silver medal in 200m women\u2019s track<\/a>\u00a0will always be ingrained in our memories, that is\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">unity<\/em>\u00a0in Sri Lanka.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"8f63\" class=\"hr hs en ht b hu hv hw hx hy hz ia ib ic id ie if ig ih ii ij ik il im in io ef dd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that we are a nation, a people, a place, where food makes everything go around, and that you won\u2019t go hungry \u2014 not even your enemy will, if they come home, because these are the\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">values<\/em>\u00a0of Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that it\u2019s always time to have a cup of freshly brewed Ceylon tea and \u201cput a chat\u201d, because that is the\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">beautiful attitude<\/em>\u00a0of Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that even the poorest farmer will cook you a meal and give you his bed to sleep on if you\u2019ve got no place to go \u2014 regardless of if you\u2019re foreign or local (my friends who\u2019ve visited and travelled around the island tell me the stories), because that is the\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">humane spirit<\/em>\u00a0of Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that grandparents automatically and voluntarily become babysitters who are paid by love and not by money, because that is what\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">family\u00a0<\/em>is like<em class=\"ip\">\u00a0<\/em>in Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that we can\u2019t even make eggs in the morning without spicing it up or having it with some\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pinterest.ie\/pin\/327073991678637870\/?lp=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">coconut \u201cpol sambol\u201d,<\/a>\u00a0because that is what\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">breakfast\u00a0<\/em>is like in Sri Lanka.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"6e59\" class=\"hr hs en ht b hu hv hw hx hy hz ia ib ic id ie if ig ih ii ij ik il im in io ef dd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that the gift of giving through\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/globalpressjournal.com\/asia\/sri_lanka\/food-stalls-open-sri-lanka-annual-vesak-poson-holidays\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">\u201cdansal\u201d<\/a>\u00a0(free food stalls during full moon Poya days) or and regular charity and\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Zakat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">zakat<\/a>\u00a0(annual % of your wealth to charity) are part and parcel of everyday life on the isle. Because that is what\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">everyday generosity<\/em>\u00a0is like in Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that every city and town feel like they are celebrating Christmas and New Year, and, if you have seen our\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pinterest.ie\/pin\/341781059190673282\/?lp=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">lights and decor<\/a>\u00a0you would realize that we love \u201coverdoing it\u201d in Lankan style, because that the\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">grandeur<\/em>\u00a0of Sri Lanka.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"1bfc\" class=\"hr hs en ht b hu hv hw hx hy hz ia ib ic id ie if ig ih ii ij ik il im in io ef dd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that anyone can be your \u201cmachang\u201d or friend, even if you\u2019ve just met them because friendship and community matters and will always be the threads that build the bulk of our social fabric. Because\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">personal will always be universal<\/em>, and we know that in Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that we all agree that we have one of the hardest and most beautiful national flags to colour in primary school, with the most courageous lion tribe on it \u2014 our tribe. Because that is what it is like\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">being a kid and going to school<\/em>\u00a0in Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that we can have the ocean and the wildlife and ancient relics and the waterfalls and the tea plantations and all its breathtaking views \u2014\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lonelyplanet.com\/best-in-travel\/countries\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">all in one day,<\/a>\u00a0because that is what a\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">long weekend<\/em>\u00a0is like in Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that no soul is left behind regardless of age and gender, and that every sole is on the dance floor especially when the\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Baila\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">Baila<\/a>\u00a0(Portuguese influenced musical genre) music comes on, because that is what every\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">party<\/em>is like in Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love how everyone \u201cputs in their two cents worth\u201d in on everything even when they are not asked of their opinion. \u2014 we colloquially call it \u201cpana pana service\u201d, because that is the\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">freedom of speech\u00a0<\/em>in Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- Responsive --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-5123580823957590\" data-ad-slot=\"7875984934\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that you can wake up to watch the sunrise on the east coast and wind down to the sunset on the west coast and that no Instagram filter can ever capture its majestic light. Because you have to actually see it with your own eyes, and that\u2019s the\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">serendipity<\/em>\u00a0of Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that we all agree that east or west,\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/av\/world-asia-47744080\/kottu-roti-the-street-food-that-makes-you-feel-like-dancing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">\u201ckottu roti\u201d<\/a>\u00a0(The street food you can dance to the sound of it being made, you need to try it because you\u2019re missing out) is the best. Because that is how\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">a good night always ends<\/em>\u00a0in Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that we always invite our global friends to come visit our stunning mosaic of serendipity and then offer to be their personal tour guides around the island, as we have so much to show them of home, because that is what\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">national pride<\/em>\u00a0looks like in Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love how Sri Lankan parents don\u2019t inflate you or talk about any of your achievements while you\u2019re around, because they always instil humility in you, but will be ever so proud of you in their social circles, because that\u2019s what\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">parenting<\/em>\u00a0looks like in Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that unlike anywhere else in the world, we can proudly identify as Democratic Socialists because after all, we are the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, where your\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.searo.who.int\/srilanka\/documents\/policybriefsfinal.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">healthcare<\/a>\u00a0(including dental care) and education, will always be free, because they are\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">basic human rights\u00a0<\/em>in the Constitution of Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that we have a \u201cparadise island complex\u201d that is so real that you get withdrawal symptoms when you leave her shores, and nothing ever seems to match up to it, no matter what highway or Broadway you experience. Because this is where our souls are most at home \u2014 in\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">stunning<\/em>\u00a0Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- Responsive --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-5123580823957590\" data-ad-slot=\"7875984934\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that we\u2019ve been born into the tradition of\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/lanka.com\/about\/interests\/ayurveda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">Ayurveda<\/a>\u00a0and healing and that ingrained in our social systems, is the aligning of body and mind, and which has been practiced for millennia, because this is what\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">mindfulness<\/em>looks like in Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I love that we smile through successes and failures alike, our pains and sorrows alike, and even through the tears, synonymously all across the island, not because we have to, but because<em class=\"ip\">\u00a0the most radical and rebellious choice you can make in life is to be optimistic<\/em>, because this is\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">who we are<\/em>\u00a0in Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">And I hope you have your smile on as you read this.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">Because above all,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">love\u00a0<\/em>that I can say, I am Sri Lankan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">And, I know you do too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\"><strong class=\"ht iq\">To\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">my fellow humans across the shores<\/em>,\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">Firstly, thank you for sharing your heart warming stories of your time on my isle and for letting me know that these recent events won\u2019t stop you from visiting this paradise, again. It speaks volumes of how you appreciate the beauty, simplicity and humane values that we possess as an island nation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">If you\u2019ve been one of lucky ones to visit Sri Lanka or have lived here, you may have experienced some of these things, as did I growing up here; and if you haven\u2019t, know this. I can assure that that my island will always welcome you because this is who we are. \u201cSri Lankan hospitality\u201d has always been a thing and will always be a thing to you can come home to.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\"><strong class=\"ht iq\">To\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">my islanders<\/em>, I say this.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">There will always be evil around us. That is the reality of anything that tries to surround and the capture beauty and grace of a people, of a place, of a part of this universe. Always remember that\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">an attack of any sort on one Sri Lankan is an attack on all Sri Lankans<\/em>. Because we are all living \u2014 breathing \u2014 human cells in the body of our precious island.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">So at this time of unsurpassable grief, as we put our lives back together, here are some of things my heart hopes for right now\u2026\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I hope that if you\u2019re a\u00a0<strong class=\"ht iq\"><em class=\"ip\">religious leader<\/em><\/strong>, you protect your interfaith community fiercely, with love. Let\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/entry\/new-zealand-interfaith-solidarity_n_5c93d44de4b0e9efc8b5b1f3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">New Zealand<\/a>\u00a0inspire us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I hope that if you\u2019re a\u00a0<strong class=\"ht iq\"><em class=\"ip\">local community leader<\/em><\/strong>, you know that you don\u2019t need to have been elected to do and spread goodness within your neighbourhoods and communities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I hope that if you\u2019re a\u00a0<strong class=\"ht iq\"><em class=\"ip\">teacher<\/em><\/strong>, teaching the impressionable future minds of society, you use your superpowers of making someone understand a concept to open their minds to the concept that diversity is strength. You are also the moral compass in a class, and I hope that you use that to guide to ensure that bullying of any sort is not tolerated in your classrooms.\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/news\/4217594\/bully-a-plant-ikea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">Have you heard about what happens when you talk to plants kindly?\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I hope that if you\u2019re a\u00a0<strong class=\"ht iq\"><em class=\"ip\">doctor<\/em><\/strong>, you remember why you decided to become one \u2014 to do no harm and to save and change lives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I hope that if you\u2019re an\u00a0<strong class=\"ht iq\"><em class=\"ip\">engineer,<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0you use your intellect and skills to help rebuild the communities affected by these mass atrocities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I hope that if you\u2019re an\u00a0<strong class=\"ht iq\"><em class=\"ip\">entrepreneur,<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0you use your capital leverage to create and facilitate spaces of good will \u2014 and make these places as inclusive \u2014 as Sri Lankan as it can get.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"3c08\" class=\"hr hs en ht b hu hv hw hx hy hz ia ib ic id ie if ig ih ii ij ik il im in io ef dd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I hope that if you\u2019re a\u00a0<strong class=\"ht iq\"><em class=\"ip\">sports star,<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0you use the universal language of sport to bring everyone onto the field and entrust them with the principles of sportsmanship for life \u2014 both on and off the pitch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"3631\" class=\"hr hs en ht b hu hv hw hx hy hz ia ib ic id ie if ig ih ii ij ik il im in io ef dd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I hope that if you\u2019re an\u00a0<strong class=\"ht iq\"><em class=\"ip\">artist<\/em><\/strong>, you use your creativity to build and reinforce bridges of harmony through your art \u2014 and tell the stories that matter. Because the arts will always matter \u2014 it is what we stay alive for.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"a12d\" class=\"hr hs en ht b hu hv hw hx hy hz ia ib ic id ie if ig ih ii ij ik il im in io ef dd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">We have to put back the displaced segments of our social fabric together one piece at a time. But before we do that, we need to identify our wounds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">Take your time to heal, and let your minds, bodies and souls go through the phases of wound healing \u2014 hemostasis, reparative and remodelling. It\u2019s important that you let that happen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">I\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">choose<\/em>\u00a0to tell and share stories of the harmony of my people and I will amplify\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"http:\/\/fundrazr.com\/d1UcOa?ref=sh_1848Za_ab_4M4VLZG80764M4VLZG8076\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">these stories.<\/a>\u00a0Because these are the stories, I choose to hold close to my heart during this time of grief. Because like attracts like \u2014 that\u2019s physics.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">You may want to do that too to remind yourself of\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TheOldJoesChoir\/videos\/593031747846081\/UzpfSTY0Njc2NTIxMjoxMDE1NTkwNjQyNDE5MDIxMw\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">who we are<\/a>\u00a0at our core being.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">Let our island and it\u2019s fun living, laid back, (over)achieving humans inspire a thousand stories of comradeship and gratitude throughout the world. Because always remember, that\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">the power of the people will always be greater than the people in power<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 that\u2019s what a living \u2014 breathing \u2014 compassionate democracy is all about.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">And let us spread that love and kindness above all through example,\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">by the way we live our daily lives.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">Because you can try to break a Sri Lankan\u2019s heart, but never\u00a0<a class=\"bi gm ir is it iu\" style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lB0kMk4MRwA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\">our spirit.<br \/>\n<\/a><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\"><strong class=\"ht iq\">We\u00a0<em class=\"ip\">shall\u00a0<\/em>rebuild.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">Sri Lanka has given me the foundation of principles upon which I have been able to build my life and my values, and for that I am eternally grateful to my umbilical connection with this piece of magic in the Indian Ocean.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000080;\">Ayubowan.
