Wally, but here, I am introducing every one of our Lankan\/Aussies &amp; Members of the greatest Lankan Website around the\u00a0 World, (eLanka), to &#8220;A Different Baila&#8221;, this time, with an &#8220;alias&#8221; in name &amp; coming from a Tex-Mex group named &#8220;The Texas Tornados&#8221; to entertain us &#8220;Bailando-Style&#8221;.You see folks,they now simply take (Baila-and-do) it Mexican style. I have always enjoyed being a Wordsmith, so Bailando is simply just one example of this God-given gift.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 In case any of my readers have not experienced the music of this band<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">The Texas Tornados caught my attention recently, and I am quite impressed by their easy style of musicality. The main group was formed by Doug.Sahm, one-time leader of a group calling themselves the &#8220;Sir Douglas Quintet&#8221;, although he (Doug) was never really knighted by the Queen or anyone else, for that matter. Later on, Doug invited both Freddy Fender &amp; Accordianist extraordinaire Flaco Jimenez to join him, and changed their name to The Texas Tornados, excelling in both English &amp; Mexican Pop. Songs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">It was also referred to as Tejano Music<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">Doug started in Showbiz at just six years of age, as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, unfortunately was found dead in a hotel room (while touring), suspected of a heart attack, at the age of 58.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Freddy Fender, well-known and very popular throughout the World, mainly for his Latino-style songs, was the next to go, sadly from lung cancer at the age of 69. Happily, both Flaco Jimenez and Augie Meyers are still with us after also starring with the Texas Tornados.
