Though they customerally don\u2019t wear hats, avoid the sun as much <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">as possible, ladies use umbrellas outdoor. Reasons for vitamin D deficiency include <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">low vitamin D intake, relatively high adiposity, sun exposure avoidance and wearing <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">of a covered dress style for cultural reasons. Possible health effects of deficiency <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">include bone diseases such as rickets and hypocalcaemia in children and <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">osteomalacia in adults. Vitamin D deficiency may also increase the risk of other <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">chronic diseases. Vitamin D deficiency is more common during the rainy season from<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">August till October.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">In dark people, the melanin seems to absorb the UV rays that initiates vitamin D <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">synthesis, and as a result decreases the vitamin D production. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">Dark skin people need to spend longer in the sun to produce the same amount of <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">vitamin D as someone with a lighter skin. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">Spending time in the sun is a good way to get your daily dose of vitamin D. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">However, sufficient sun exposure is difficult for many people to achieve.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">Supplements are available, and both vitamin D2 and Vitamin D3 can be taken in <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">supplement form.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">What is the difference between vitamin D2 and D3?<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">When we talk of vitamin D, we are talking about vitamin D2. Vitamin <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">D2 and D3 are both widely used vitamin D supplements but are not the same. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">Vitamin D2 is ergocalciferol and comes from plant-based sources. Vitamin D3 is <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">cholecalciferol and comes from animal-based sources.25 Feb 2020. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">Vitamin D3 may be less toxic if you load yourself in excess without knowing, because <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">higher concentrations of D2 circulate in the blood when consumed, compared to <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">vitamin D3. Vitamin D3, binds to the receptors in the human tissues. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">Basically, both vitamin D2 and D3 are fat soluble, meaning that you must take fat in <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">your diet to get them absorbed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">Both vitamin D2 and D3 help your body absorb calcium and phosphorus from your <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">food.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">The right amount of calcium and phosphorus is important for building and keeping <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">your bones strong. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">Achieving adequate levels of vitamin D in your blood may help boost immunity and <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">protect you from diseases like osteoporosis and cancer<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">Osteoporosis a term used for bone softening and is a condition you get as you age, <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">and vitamin D supplements may be required to prevent it. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">The National Osteoporosis Foundation recommends an intake of 800 to 1000<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">international units of vitamin D3 per day for adults over age 50. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">Vitamin D deficiency leads in hyperthyroidism leading to bone loss. Low blood levels <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">of vitamin D are found in both hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) as well as <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid), in Graves\u2019 disease. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">Low levels of vitamin D are also associated with autoimmune thyroid disease, as in <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">Hashimoto\u2019s thyroiditis and Graves\u2019 disease.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">There are certain vitamins and minerals that are vital for bodily functions, including <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\">thyroid health.
