\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Once again, something entirely different for eLanka Members and readers from around the World. Having to admit that I have never heard of this<\/span><\/p>\n

Poetess Joanne Boyle, I still found her piece on Her Majesty’s reminiscing quite charming. So, without further ado, I present it, to you.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Desmond<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Desmond Kelly.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(Editor-in-Chief)\u00a0 eLanka.<\/span><\/p>\n

Do not look at me with sorrow,\u00a0<\/span><\/b>by\u00a0 Joanne\u00a0 Boyle<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n

\"Joanne<\/p>\n

Do not look at me with sorrow,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Simply because I sit alone.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a choice I chose to make\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To compose the shivers from my bone.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Do not look at this with pity,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As it was what I chose to do.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was Philips place to be,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I wanted to show that to all of you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

My world of love is shattered,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And my heart is broken in two<\/span><\/p>\n

But as the people\u2019s Queen,<\/span><\/p>\n

I still have a job to do.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I want to thank you for your kind words.<\/span><\/p>\n

As I laid my husband to rest\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I had 73 wonderful years,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Being married to the best.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So do not look at me with sorrow,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For a choice that I did make.<\/span><\/p>\n

I chose to sit alone.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For my countries sake.<\/span><\/p>\n

The seat beside me was my husband’s,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It was not an empty space.<\/span><\/p>\n

His presence sat beside me,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You just couldn’t see his face.<\/span><\/p>\n
