He had ordered his breakfast. James ordered a full English breakfast.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c You have a nice bunch of planters down here. It\u2019s good to meet them.\u201d said<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Arthur.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Yes. It\u2019s good to come over and spend time, even if it\u2019s only one night.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c What\u2019s the plan for today?\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c We will go to Loolecondere but we will stop at The Peradeniya Gardens and meet my friend Robert Jones. He is in fact the man who grew the tea bushes which are now established in Loolecondere.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c I look forward to that. Without Robert helping to nursery tea plants we would not here. I heard that coffee has collapsed completely. And most of the planters have returned to England.\u201d said Arthur.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Yes. That was coming but we were all hoping against hope.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c I agree. So do we leave now.?\u201d asked Arthur.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201cYes. Lets leave now. Hope you had a restful night.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Yes. i had a peaceful night. I had a perky little damsel coming and knocking at my door. She asked for you. I told her you were in another room but she was welcome to my room. She came in and locked the door. We had a very good time. She didn&#8217;t stay for long. i gave her some money.\u201d said Arthur.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c She was a local was she?\u201d asked James<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Yes . She was. Very pretty with a sweet smile and lovely perfect teeth.\u201d said Arthur.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201cI\u2019m glad you have enjoyed another wonderful thing from this country.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Yes. I don\u2019t blame you. The planters said that you were staying with a local girl. I personally have no prejudice on these matters. But I guess the cost of travel to England and maintenance for a family is very high.\u201d said Arthur.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c I must admit that I have enjoyed the company of my dear woman Thangam for several years. I may add that she has kept me sane. She has given her life to look after me.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c I can understand your feelings. It\u2019s natural to want company when you are alone. Anyone would feel lonely.\u201d said Arthur.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>They left Queens Hotel and the carriage reached the Peradeniya Gardens. They spent about an hour talking to Robert and walking around the a part of the gardens.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>They left Peradeniya and reached Loolecondere soon after lunchtime.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>James had planned a surprise for Thangam. He wanted to get a cup of tea for Arthur Stuart and go and look for Thangam. He wanted to give her a big hug and carry her to the room. He had missed her so much. It did not occur to James that he was not acting a sane man would. He had been sleeping with Daisy the previous night and been enjoying a night of sensuous delight. And now he was excited about seeing Thangam, wanting to kiss her and carry her to the bedroom.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>He could not find Sinniah. He could not find Thangam.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>But Thangam\u2019s relative, the young girl who helped in the kitchen was there. She knew some English.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Where is Thangam\u201d he asked her.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c She is not here Sir.\u201d replied the girl.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Where is she ?\u201d he asked.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c She has gone home Sir\u201d she replied.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c She knew i was coming. I sent word to Sinniah.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c She went long ago Sir. She went the day after you left.\u201d she said.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Alright. Where is Sinniah?\u201d he asked.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201cHe said he was going to the water mill Sir because it was not working.\u201d<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Alright. I\u2019ll go to the watermill.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>James felt agitated. Even though the water mill was important, Sinniah should have waited until he came. He did not like it. It was afternoon. There was plenty of time for taking Arthur Stuart to the watermill.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>James told Arthur that they can take a walk to the watermill.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c it\u2019s very pleasant here James. i like the greenery here. The red flowers are pretty.\u201d said Arthur Stuart.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c I like the white flowers of of the jasmine plants. The estate workers plant them and use them for their morning and evening prayers. The women place them on their hair\u201d<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>replied James. His thought of Thangam with her hair full of jasmine.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>They arrived at the watermill. Sinniah was supervising a carpenter who was working on the water mill.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Hearing footsteps, Sinniah turned around and said:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Welcome back Sir.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Thank you Sinniah. This is Mr. Stuart. He is visiting our plantation.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201cWelcome Mr. Stuart. We were expecting you and Mr.Taylor\u201d said Sinniah, smiling a rare smile.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c I did not see Thangam.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Thangam went to the village with her mother. Samuel is here. He wanted to go with one of the girls. The girl was going to gather some mangoes.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>So i let him go. It\u2019s mango season.\u201d said Sinniah.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c When is Thangam coming back.?\u201d asked James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c i\u2019m not sure Sir.\u201d said Sinniah and<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>added \u201c i\u2019 ll send word and find out.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Alright. Looks like the repair on the wheel is complete.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Yes Sir. It\u2019s been completed.\u201d said Sinniah.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>*<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>The next day began with James getting out of bed, having his wash<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>and dressing quickly to take his walk around the house and nearby gardens, before breakfast. As he walked close to the garden, he saw Sinniah walking towards the house.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Morning Sinniah.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Morning Mr. Taylor\u201d said Sinniah.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Did you find out about Thangam?\u201d he asked.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Yes. Thangam has decided to stay back in the village Sir.\u201d<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c But how can she stay back? Samuel is here and i\u2019m back.\u201d<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Her uncles have forced her to stay back.\u201d said Sinniah.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c How can they do that. Nobody can force her stay back. it\u2019s against the law.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c It\u2019s just that they want her get married Sir. Her mother\u2019s brothers feel that she is bringing shame on the family by staying in Loolecondere Sir.\u201d<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c I see. They think she is not married but having a bastard child. Is that it?\u201d asked James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Yes. Exactly. These people think differently.\u201d added Sinniah.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c is she not coming back?\u201d asked James, his voice changing to a low tone, almost a whisper and his countenance showing distress.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Yes, sir. Sorry.\u201d said Sinniah.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>James\u2019s body moved sideways as if he was about to fall.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>There was a lull in the conversation as James turned around to walk away.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Then he turned around again and faced Sinniah and asked:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c What about Samuel. How is he going to cope without his mother?\u201d he asked.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Yes Sir. i told them they must think of the little boy. But they said it\u2019s up to you. They are willing to take him to the village and look after him.\u201d said Sinniah.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>James\u2019s eyes blazed as he stared hard at Sinniah. His anger was rising. He waved his hand showing negative feelings.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c No question about it. Samuel is my son. He will stay with me, even if i have to bring someone to look after him when i\u2019m out at work.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Yes Sir\u201d said Sinniah respectfully nodding his head in agreement.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c After all you are his grandfather. We can look after him.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Yes . We can look after him.\u201d said Sinniah.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>James turned and walked back to the house and into his room. He locked his door. He fell on the bed and sobbed. He could not contain himself. He pounded the bed with his hands.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c No. No. No. I cant bear this.\u201d he cried in a low voice so that nobody heard him. He sobbed quietly. He banged his head against the bed. After awhile he felt calm. He felt desolate. He felt as if<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>he was living in a cave all by himself. He thought of Samuel. He forgot that he had Samuel. With Samuel there, he had somebody who would make him happy. He looked in the mirror. He was looking very grim.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>He got up, checked his clothes and<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>walked out. He saw Samuel with Punya, the young girl. He called out to Samuel. Samuel<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>called out \u201cDaddy\u201d and they hugged each other. Samuel held James\u2019s face with both hands and beamed a smile of happiness.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u201c Mummy has gone.\u201d Samuel said his face changing, and the smile fading.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Yes. we will ask her come back.\u201d said James. Samuel and James played hide and seek which was Samuel\u2019s favourite game.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>After a while, Sinniah came out and asked them to come for breakfast.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c We will look after Samuel while you have breakfast with Mr. Stuart.\u201d said Sinniah.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Sinniah distracted Samuel by throwing a ball towards the flowers.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>The breakfast was served. There was bread, butter, eggs, even roti and sambal. Arthur Stuart walked in.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c I was admiring your garden. Heaps of beautiful flowers. And they smell heavenly\u201d said Arthur Stuart.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c We tend to get cuttings from various people and plant them here. Breakfast is ready.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>They had breakfast. Arthur Stuart tried the roti and sambal.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c The sambal is pretty hot. But the roti is delicious.\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c The roti has coconut mixed with the flour.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c The bread is tasty too. I enjoy the bread . It\u2019s very soft. It must be the type of yeast.\u201d<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>What\u2019s your plan for today.\u201d said Arthur Stuart.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c We can go and see the mill and the tea rolling machine.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Thank you. But I do feel I could do with a nap. I\u2019m told you have made your first shipment of tea to London.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Thats\u2019s correct. I\u2019ve had a good response from London.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201cOf course, growing more tea in Ceylon and india is threatening China\u2019s monopoly on tea growing and tea exports .\u201d said George Stuart.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c I can see that. China would be affected if tea grows well in Ceylon and India.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c There is a gentleman by the name of Thomas Lipton who is making a lot of changes to the way we sell tea to British tea drinkers. He is selling tea in his shops. The shops sell food like bread and vegetables. In fact selling tea in small packets of half a pound and one pound has shocked everyone, especially aristocracy. Many working class people have started buying tea.\u201d said Arthur Stuart.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c That is news to me. Tea has always been the preserve of the upper classes. \u201c said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Yes. Beer has been the drink for the working class. But Lipton has set out to change all that.\u201d said Arthur Stuart.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c The cost of tea would be too high for working class people.\u201d said James.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Yes. But with the use of rolling machines and drying machines, the costs are coming down. Lipton id also cutting out the middle man and buying direct from the tea estates in India. You have made a big contribution to this reduced cost. He had many features which reminded him of Thangam. I think she wanted Samuel\u2019s father to have his son with him when he came back from India.\u201d said Sinniah.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Looks like your boss has caught some kind of stomach ailment. Hope he gets better soon.\u201d said Arthur Stuart.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c It\u2019s quite common to have these problems when travelling out. A lot of people coming to work in the plantations fall ill. Some even pass away from the illness Mr. Stuart.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201c Let\u2019s hope nothing like that happens to James. The letter did not disclose what her aliment was. James felt embarrassed about visiting Daisy in hospital. He persuaded Robert to come with him and they visited Daisy. She looked very pale and her body seemed to have suffered much loss of weight.
