SUNDAY CHOICE<\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n

God’s Rosebud<\/span><\/p>\n

A new minister was walking with an older, more seasoned minister in the garden one day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Feeling a bit insecure about\u00a0what God had for him to do, h<\/span><\/p>\n

e was asking\u00a0the older preacher for some\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

advice.<\/span><\/p>\n

The older\u00a0preacher walked up to a rosebush and handed the young preacher a rosebud and told him to open it without tearing off any petals.<\/span><\/p>\n

The young preacher looked in disbelief at the older preacher and was trying to figure out what a\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rosebud could possibly have to do with his wanting to\u00a0know the will of God for his life and\u00a0ministry.<\/span><\/p>\n

But because of his great respect for the older preacher, he proceeded to try to unfold the rose,<\/span><\/p>\n

while keeping every petal intact.<\/span><\/p>\n

It wasn’t long before he realised how impossible this was to do.<\/span><\/p>\n

Noticing the younger preacher’s inability to unfold the rosebud without tearing it, the older preacher began to recite:-<\/span><\/p>\n

The following poem…<\/span><\/p>\n

“It is only a tiny rosebud,<\/span><\/p>\n

A flower of God’s design;<\/span><\/p>\n

But I cannot unfold the petals<\/span><\/p>\n

With these clumsy hands of mine.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“The secret of unfolding flowers<\/span><\/p>\n

Is not known to such as I.<\/span><\/p>\n

GOD opens this flower so easily,<\/span><\/p>\n

But in my hands they die.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“If I cannot unfold a rosebud,<\/span><\/p>\n

This flower of God’s design,<\/span><\/p>\n

Then how can I have the wisdom<\/span><\/p>\n

To unfold this life of mine?”<\/span><\/p>\n

“So I’ll trust in God for leading<\/span><\/p>\n

Each moment of my day.<\/span><\/p>\n

I will look to God for guidance<\/span><\/p>\n

In each step along the way.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

“The path that lies before me,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Only my Lord and Saviour knows.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I’ll trust God to unfold the moments,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Just as He unfolds the rose.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
