The <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">early breakfast time start from Aspley Hypermarket proved no problem for the \u2018bacon\u2019 on the bus but the \u2018egg\u2019 got lost <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">and arrived a bit scrambled! <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">First stop was Home Base at Jindalee to pick up our friends from the western and southern parts. Next stop Picnic <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Point in Toowoomba\u2026. A challenge for the ageing bladder of the writer! However, the view and the garden beds were <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">worth the wait. Sadly, the coffee was not. The huge acres of Queen\u2019s Park was our next stop and it was wonderful to <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">stroll around the beautiful gardens, full of patterns and colour. The tulips were stunning too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Next stop was my personal highlight\u2026. Laurel Banks Park. We claimed our chairs (duly tagged by Suzie) and sat <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">around in a \u2018Lankan high country\u2019 circle framed by the shade of a large tree, emerald green grass and brilliant splashes <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">of garden colour as a backdrop. Lunch of rice and curry provided by our local Lankan caterer, Ronald Muller, was both <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">plentiful and delicious and the company convivial and relaxing. It was difficult getting the troops up to walk around <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">this venue full of so many highlights. The gardens where brightly coloured flowered patterns denoting a variety of <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">dinosaurs was extraordinary as was the full sized train shaped out of a hedge with seats to sit in.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">We then journeyed to the tranquil Japanese Gardens. What a peaceful place this is and how spectacular were the peach <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">blossoms. Our journey home was enhanced by a stop at Spring Bluff Station, a quaint, old station awash with flowers. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">What a special day! The BelBaker bus was extremely comfortable and Michael, our driver, quiet, unobtrusive and open <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">to our every whim and wish. The company of members, family and friends was very special. Suzie\u2019s organization was <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">spot on and thorough.
