But she had been offered a position at the Piliyandala Madhya Maha Vidyalaya.In school Saara had been very popular not for academic studies but excelled in sports and extra-curricular activities and in schools media unit.Saara had played Netball, Volleyball and excelled in cadeting which had just begun in girl schools. Saara recollects how she dominated in the media unit.She had confessed that the girls in the media unit used to collect news from various newspapers edit them and then narrate to the students. Saara had rather reluctantly confessed that she used to mention her name \u201cSaara\u201d as the editor of the news program. As added earlier Saara had confessed that it was always interested in only extra-curricular activities. She had also been an important member of the schools debating team.She had initially brought laurels to her school becoming the best cadet platoon in all island girl schools, in an event held in year 2008 at the Air Force base in Rantabe..Initially she had affirmed that her school had come among the all island best six schools. Perhaps this victory owes to Saara\u2019s dominance and enthusiasm in this task of encouraging and leading the cadets as a cohesive unit.. Saara for her dominance in extra –curricular activities had won a scholarship to Japan along with another girl and two boys from her school.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
