Advanced glycation end products are formed by cooking meats and some other foods <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">at high temperatures for long periods. They are known to cause inflammation<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">It is important to remember that most curries with meat products are cooked for hours and <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">more advanced glycation end products are formed, and unfortunately such prepared curries<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">are harmful.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">It is advised it would be healthier to slow-cooked spicy beef after marinading with Greek <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">yogurt, salt, cumin, and coriander, for a couple of hours, when advanced glycation end <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">products formation would be minimal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Is the staple food among the Sri Lankans being rice and curry- is it anti-inflammatory?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Brown rice and other unprocessed form of any rice is anti-inflammatory, as compared to <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">white polished rice. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Most curries that go with the rice is anti-inflammatory in the cooking process, due to their <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">anti-inflammatory properties. Being that curry powder is packed with spices like turmeric, <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">coriander, and chili pepper, it&#8217;s no wonder that this seasoning has been shown to provide antiinflammatory benefits. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Curry powder may offer a variety of health benefits due to the numerous healthful spices it <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">contains.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Turmeric, one of the main spices in the blend, contains a pigment called curcumin. Curcumin <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">is well known for its ability to fight inflammation by regulating inflammatory proteins, such <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">as interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Coriander has been used as an anti-inflammatory agent in traditional medicine practices since <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">ancient times, and research in rodents suggests that treatment with this spice may reduce <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">symptoms of inflammatory bowel diseases.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Consuming curry powder may benefit heart health in several ways. For example, research has <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">demonstrated that the spice mix may boost blood flow and improve blood vessel function, <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">which in turn may decrease heart disease risk.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">The veggies contain lots of minerals and nutrients and turmeric is an ingredient added to any <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">curry -has anti-inflammatory effects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Eating curry powder added curries regularly has the potential to combat cancer cells. This <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">effect is also due to the curcumin in turmeric. Across a variety of studies, curcumin has been <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">found to suppress many types of cancer cells, including breast, ovarian, prostate, lung, colon, <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">and bladder cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Another study in over 100,000 people found that those who consumed curry-powder-based <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">dishes 2\u20133 times per month to once a week had significantly lower triglyceride levels <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">compared with people who consumed curry less than once a month. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">So, Sri Lankans who have domestics to cook rice and curry daily are blessed souls.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Is Basmati rice recommended for diabetics\u2019 anti-inflammatory?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Your body digests whole grains, \u2014 basmati rice, brown rice, buckwheat, quinoa, and steel <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">cut oats \u2014 slowly, reducing the risk of spikes in your blood glucose. They are all antiinflammatory foods.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Healthy omega-3 fats have anti-inflammatory properties. These fats offer powerful antiinflammatory properties. Seeds and nuts, avocados and salmon are excellent sources of\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">omega-3 fats.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Beans, peas, and lentils are high in fibre and magnesium. E coli bacteria have been detected by the Chief Medical <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">Officer of Colombo Municipal Council, unlike rice which goes up to boiling point and as a <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">result any germ is killed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #000000;\">In conclusion, I would like to state no single food will boost a person\u2019s health.
